The Fermanagh Recreational Trust, administered by the Fermanagh Trust is open for applications. The Trust supports the organisation, development and funding of recreational activities and facilities in Co. Fermanagh with particular emphasis on young people and youth development. Constituted sporting and arts-based organisations or individuals based in Fermanagh can apply.
Recent grant recipients include rower’s Ross Corrigan and Nathan Timoney who have been supported by the Trust as they represent Ireland at the upcoming Paris Olympics. Fermanagh Super Cup NI used their grant award towards pitch hire / rent of facilities, equipment and travel costs ahead of this summer’s Super Cup tournament. Golfer Rory Browne and runner Frank Buchanan used their grants for equipment and competition costs. Also supported were Enniskillen Running Club towards their equipment costs and Sliagh Beagh Youth Arts who used their funding towards their Community Arts Programme.

Potential areas of support include provision of equipment, provision of courses, training and coaching, contribution towards training or training costs, contribution towards the development of facilities, bursaries to assist individuals develop their potential and activities / events which will benefit young people. An opportunity for individuals in helping to develop their careers. For local organisations this is a chance to utilise and enhance their provision including training new volunteers and encouraging increased levels of participation by young people.

It is so important we support and nurture our home-grown talent because with their determination they will be able to achieve even more and become great ambassadors for the county. We are proud to have supported numerous organisations and individuals over the years who have went on to have high profile successes. Fermanagh really is punching above it’s weight, even embarking on Olympic dreams. It is our hope to reach even more.
