Charity Regulation and Good Governance
Now that the Charity Commission has established the register of charities, and has its powers of investigation and enforcement, what does this mean in practice for charities on the ground?
The Fermanagh Trust in association with the Developing Governance Group, and the Charity Commission would like to invite you to a free seminar focusing on the new rules and regulations that have come into being from charity legislation which all voluntary and community organisations need to be aware of.
This seminar will also focus on the importance of good governance within charities. Participants will have the opportunity to consider the revised Code of Good Governance which is being launched for consultation by the Developing Governance Group, as well as being able to pose questions to the Charity Commission.
This seminar will take place in Fermanagh House, Broadmeadow Place, Enniskillen on Tuesday 13 May 2014 from 7-9pm. Registration and refreshments at 6.45pm
Please note that places are limited. If you would like to attend please register with Hazel McFarland, The Fermanagh Trust, on 028 6632 0210 or hazel@fermanaghtrust.org
This seminar is hosted by the Fermanagh Trust and in promotion with Fermanagh Rural Community Network and Fermanagh District Council.
